Competition: Brazil Serie B
Market: Under 2.5 goals
Odds: 3/5 @ 888sport
In a Serie B showdown that could see chances come at a premium late on Tuesday night, Brusque will welcome Bahia to the Estádio Augusto Bauer.
Starting with the hosts, after putting in what was a largely rugged display on their travels last weekend, Brusque will be looking to build off of those positives. Eventually playing out a 0-0 stalemate away at promotion contenders Sport Recife a few days ago, Head Coach Waguinho Dias is calling on his side to now skyrocket their way up the Serie B standings. Losing just one of their last four outings, it should also be highlighted that the midweek hosts have largely impressed with their recent displays at the back. Aside from a close-fought 1-0 loss at home against Ituano earlier in the month, that is the only strike that Brusque have conceded in any of their last four domestic showdowns. Likewise, Dias’ men have seen six of their last seven outings finish with under 2.5 goals.
As for the visitors, although many might still tip Bahia as a leading shout in this season’s promotion chase, they’re in the midst of an extended rut. Last seen over the weekend putting in another downbeat display, the Whites were eventually hit with a 1-0 loss at home against Novorizontino, Head Coach Guto Ferreira has seen his side lose each of their last three domestic outings. With their recent slump highlighted by a shock 1-0 loss at home against Chapecoense on June 14th, Bahia have also shown some problems in the final third. Along with bagging just a single strike on their three-match losing run, it should also be noted that Tuesday’s guests have failed to score more than a single strike in a contest in any of their last five outings. In a contest that could be another low-scoring affair here, we’re backing under 2.5 goals.
Bet: Under 2.5 goals at Brusque vs Bahia 3/5 for Tuesday’s Brazil Serie B matchup @ 888sport
