PSG confident they have persuaded Kylian Mbappe to stay – XenBet

Paris Saint-Germain believe they have persuaded Kylian Mbappe to stay with the club for at least two more years, 90min understands.

The World Cup winner’s contract with the Ligue 1 giants expires at the end of the season and Real Madrid have been heavy favourites to secure his signature.

However, 90min understand PSG are now confident they have persuaded Mbappe to stay put for another couple of seasons.

90min revealed earlier in May that the forward is preparing to announce a decision on his future this month.

PSG have refused to accept a potential Mbappe departure since the saga first began, though a source close to Real has confirmed to 90min that they “remain confident” of completing the move.

Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has insisted no agreement has been concluded, tweeting: “There’s no agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club. Discussions around Kylian’s future continue in great serenity to allow him to make the best choice, in the respect of all the parties.”

She also spoke to Marca, telling the Spanish media outlet that Real “continues to be the first option” for Mbappe.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hinted at a move for Mbappe in the summer after the club wrapped up the La Liga title, revealing: “I hadn’t thought about it [the Mbappe transfer] but now that you mention it, it might be true and so on.

“When we plan next year’s squad we’ll see.”

With the league title wrapped up, Real‘s attention will turn to the Champions League final against Liverpool. Los Blancos produced a remarkable comeback to knock out Manchester City in the semi-finals and face the Reds in a repeat of the 2018 final which they won 3-1 thanks to Gareth Bale’s brace and a couple of career-ruining mistakes from goalkeeper Loris Karius.
