Sporting Kansas City waive homegrown players Grayson Barber & Tyler Freeman – XenBet

Sporting Kansas City has waived homegrown forwards Grayson Barber and Tyler Freeman from the roster ahead of the 2022 Major League Soccer season.

21-year-old Greyson Barber featured in nine regular-season games in 2021. He signed a professional contract with Sporting KC after playing college soccer at Clemson University.

On the other end, Tyler Freeman failed to make any appearances for the MLS side after joining in 2018. Instead, he spent part of last season on loan at German side Karlsruher SC.

Following these changes, Sporting Kansas City now holds 26 players under a MLS contract for the 2022 campaign.

The club recently occupied an international spot on the roster when signing winger Marinos Tzionis on a transfer from Cypriot side Omonia Nicosia. He joins on a three-year contract through 2024, with an option for 2025.
