Inter host Venezia at the San Siro as Simone Inzaghi’s men look to strengthen their grip on top spot in Serie A.
The Nerazzurri drew their first blank of the league season in a goalless draw with Champions League-chasing Atalanta last weekend, although they recovered to progress in the Coppa Italia with a dramatic 3-2 extra time victory over Empoli in midweek.
Meanwhile, Venezia are winless in their last nine outings in Serie A and hover just two points above the relegation zone having played a game more than their immediate challengers.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

Inzaghi may look to freshen up his squad this weekend with the Nerazzurri looking particularly healthy compared to their immediate rivals.
However, he looks set to be without forward Joaquin Correa for a significant period of time after the Argentine limped off just five minutes into their win over Empoli in midweek, with the Inter boss describing his injury as ‘serious’.

Michael Svoboda is expected to return for Venezia after serving his suspension following his red card in the defeat to Milan earlier this month.
However, Paolo Zanetti will be without full back Tyronne Ebuehi due to his involvement with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.

These two sides have met just once in recent history, with Inter running out 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture at the Pierluigi Penzo in November.
Hakan Calhanoglu edged Inter ahead in the first half, before Lautaro Martinez settled the nerves with a penalty deep into stoppage time.

The Nerazzurri will be licking their lips given Venezia’s wretched run of form in Serie A recently.
Inzaghi is very likely to have a full complement of players to choose from, and the attacking duo of Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez are beginning to flourish.
Last weekend’s 0-0 draw in Bergamo should serve as a reminder for Inter that title race is far from over, and expect them to immediately bounce back in the league this weekend.
Prediction: Inter 2-0 Venezia
